AT VARILITE, innovation means superior solutions like our Wave Series of contoured bases for positioning support. Therapists now can combine Meridian dual-chamber, adjustable Air-Foam Floatation skin protection cushions with a solid positioning base. Three different Wave designs are available: CPW (Contoured Positioning Wedge), LPB (Lateral Positioning Base), and CPB (Contoured Positioning Base).

Varilite cushion valve replacement is available in either Standard Valve or PSV Valve. Kit includes replacement valve, adhesive, and installation instructions.

Pressure Setting Valve (PSV) : The PSV is marked with three pre-set positions, which provide the best range of immersion for most users. Positions 1,2,and 3 are setings that determine the amount of immersion. Setting one is the least and setting 3 is the most.

Standard Valve for Adjusting Air Volume Sitting on a fully inflated cushion, the user opens the valve and releases air, closing the valve when sitting on approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) of air and foam.

Anyone who sits for periods of times knows what it is like to have back discomfort. Over time, lack of support can lead to muscle aches or worse, deformity. Clients who suffer from moderate to chronic back pain, or anyone who requires additional lumbar support, use the Varilite BackRest in the car, at work, or during recreational activities to get the additional support they need.

The Backrest features Varilite's air-foam floatation technology where open-cell foam is bonded to coated nylon fabric (which allows the cushion hold air) and a two-way valve lets the user adjust the amount of air in the back cushion.

The Varilite BackRest is light as a feather (weighing just half a pound) and very compact which makes it great for travel. Attractive Charcoal Grey color.

An optional cover made from black fleece and pack cloth is available. 1 inch (2.5 cm) webbing and a side-squeeze buckle lets the BackRest attach to just about any chair. Cover is machine washable.

The Varilite Wedge is an optional cushion accessory that reduces the seat-to-back angle, which increases weight-bearing load on the back of the thighs and decreases the load on the buttocks. This can be especially useful when trying to relieve pressure on sores.

The 2 inch (5 cm) tapered closed-cell foam wedge trims easily for a custom fit allowing the Varilite Wedge to meet your individual needs.
