The advertisements of few such tub chairs focus on "fitability" in a tub. The legs of this chair are too wide for my tub, as I learned after I bought it. Why would companies make a tub chair that doesn't fit in a normal bathtub? I can't continue to trial-and-error buy tub chairs until I find one that fits.
Ok, so after this chair didn't fit, I measured the width of the bottom of my tub. But, if the spread of the legs is so critical, why can't you search on that criterion? I give the char 2 stars, because it worked well for a walk-in shower I used at a hotel while on vacation. So, what am I to do now with a useless (to me) bathtub chair?
